October 21-27 is National Teen Safe Driving Week. Take time to talk to your teen about behaviors that can help keep him or her safe on the road. And remember, talk is cheap. The best way to teach your teen to drive safely is to model that behavior. Do not use your phone when you drive. Follow the speed limit. Obey traffic signals and signs. Be courteous, respectful, and calm. Showing your teen how to drive is more effective than talking endlessly about it. Lectures are never as effective as examples.
